Work hard – Have Fun – Make a difference

All work and no play is no way for any organization to operate at their optimum level. Thankfully, ibex. understands that. Moreover, a company picnic, in some cases, can change your own perspective on some of your colleagues, work and responsibilities. On Saturday, Nov 25th, 2017, a great outing day was planned and hosted by Tahir Ahmed, Director and Head of Design, and was organized by Mustafa Shakil, Talent Acquisition Analyst. The teams invited for this picnic were; Finance, Payroll, Administrative, Design, Human Resources, ibex CX, ASG, Virtual World, IT, Organizational Development and MENA. This was one of the outings that are arranged on yearly basis and this special day was solely designated for the Non-Contact Centre population. Generally, people at Karachi like to sleep entire morning on their off days, but about 30 people successfully managed to get out of their beds and attempted to discover their coworkers’ fun side and avail the opportunity to build camaraderie and trust with them. I managed to do that as well! Another best part the company was thoughtful about to allow bringing someone special along with us as well to show family support towards us. We reached Center Point by 7am and left for breakfast at Boat Basin (famous for breakfast for Karachiites), and finally took off to reach Mubarak Village. Here is where the fun began! We then hopped in the boats to go towards Churna Island. The boating experience was itself enough to release stress and sea wave’s therapy soothed all our thoughts and rejuvenated us, which was a great beginning to the fun day. After some water diving, the enjoyment directed towards daring cliff climbing and cliff jumping, mesmerized by snorkeling, taking some cool underwater shoots, almost risking your life with ‘speed boat with donut’ (but I tell you, it was completely worth it). The unforgettable, the most amusing and ‘can’t get enough’ rides of Jet Ski – all added to make this trip a worthwhile. Though it was really hard to get out of the water, but an hour before sunset, we travelled by boat back to the shore. Finally after enjoying delicious Bar B.Q at dinner we headed safely back home.
